Chanda- chanda is like any other 16 year old girl in the heart of south africa. she cooks and cleans takes care of all her siblings and top of all of that se try's to focus on her studies. When her mother falls ill, most days she just stays at home and cooks, cleans and babysits.
Esther- i chose this song for esther because in the book she was so desprite the she got into prostitution and working the streets just to make things better and have her family back together. Esther has many downs from being kicked out of her house, not having parents and finding out she now has to live with he difficulties of Aids. she also has had many ups. Chanda is her best friend many people in her community love her. and she does not have to take the pain and suffering of living with her abusive aunt and uncle. Through all of this she still has the dream of bringing her broken up family back together, and fighting past Aids.
